The purpose of this committee is to provide Speakers for the monthly meetings (except May, August & December). At the Speaker’s request, arrangements for special equipment needs are made. The Program Chair reviews any contract submitted by the Speaker and arranges for payment by Treasurer. The Program Chair reviews contract submitted by hotel for special needs. The Program Chair obtains the biography of the Speaker and submits to our Administrative Assistant.
At the monthly meetings, the Program Chair ensures that all requested special needs (microphone, projector, screen, etc.,) are in place and in working order. At the meeting, the Program Chair greets the Speaker when he/she arrives, reviews set up and arrangements and answers any questions he/she has prior to the meeting. The Program Chair introduces the Speaker and presents the biography to the members prior to the presentation. The Program Chair gathers completed evaluation forms at the end of each meeting.
At the annual planning meeting, the Program Chair reports and distributes to the Board the outcome of the monthly evaluation forms.
The Program Chair attends monthly Board meetings to report on scheduled Speakers.
The Program Chair is available to answer mail, e-mail and phone inquiries from the Board and/or membership. The Program Chair is to perform such other duties as necessary incident to the Committee.
